Mazda has disclosed the pricing and specifications for its all-new 2015 Mazda2 in the United Kingdom. The Mazda2 will be available in 12 petrol and four diesel variants, with pricing ranging from £11,995 to £17,395 on-the-road (OTR). The B-segment model now boasts a dynamic yet muscular cab-rearward design that features a longer wheelbase with smaller overhangs, paving way for maximized interior space – thanks to the 'KODO-Soul of Motion' design philosophy.
It also boasts of the signature 'wing' front grille and predatory headlamp styling. Inside, one could easily feel the extra shoulder and knee room as well as the enhanced improved seat comfort, coherent instrumentation and switchgear, and superior ergonomics.
The new Mazda2 could be availed in five grades -- SE, SE-L, SE-L Nav, Sport and Sport Nav – which mean that customers could benefit a premium interior finish that suits their tastes and budgets. This also means that all-new Mazda2's cabin does not only have a user-friendly layout, but also a level of cutting-edge technology.
Starting from the SE-L 90ps grade, owners are treated to a 7-inch touch-screen with rotary Multimedia Commander infotainment control, MZD Connect, DAB radio, and a satellite navigation system as standard. The SE-L Nav and Sport Nav grades, meanwhile, are endowed with a new navigation system that provides greater accuracy, improved search features and three years of free map updates.
Sport Nav models features 16-inch alloy wheels, smart keyless entry and climate control air-conditioning. To celebrate the arrival of the all-new Mazda2 in the United Kingdom, Mazda will offer a special Sports Launch Edition powered by the 1.5-liter 90ps SKYACTIV‑G petrol engine.
Having a price of £14,995 on-the-road (OTR) , the Sports Launch Edition features an integrated navigation system, 16-inch alloy wheels, privacy glass, dusk-sensing lights, rain-sensing front wipers, rear parking sensors and free-of-charge Metallic/Mica/Pearlescent paint. [source: Mazda]
