Vw introduces CC R-Line, Jetta TDI Cup Street and New Beetle Red Rock Editions

Article by Christian A., on August 25, 2010

Aside from the new Jetta TDI Cup Street Edition, two more special-edition V-Dubs -- the New Beetle Red Rocks and the CC R-line -- will be arriving at Volkswagen's U.S. dealers. The CC R-line, which has an elegant full body kit, 18-inch "Mallory" wheels, and smoked tail lamps, is similar to the R-model offered in Europe.

R-line emblems are strategically placed on the front fenders, along with the aluminum door sill plates. The six-speed manual CC R-line is priced from $30,390, including $800 for destination.

Volkswagen has plenty of reason to celebrate the final year of this iteration of the Bug with the "Final Edition" models, but the new Red Rocks model still aims to attract more enthusiasts and collectors.

It‚ exciting how the two-tone exterior paint scheme features a special "Red Rock" metallic color on the body, while its roof is blacked out. The other upgrades include sport suspension, 17-inch wheels, and a black interior. Only 750 examples will be produced so interested parties better act quickly.

Prices start from $21,140, including $750 in destination charges. The TDI Cup Street Edition is offered by VW to celebrate its successful diesel racing series.

The large 18-inch "Charleston" aluminum wheels are wrapped in high-performance rubber, and are mated with the more potent brakes and suspension parts found on the Jetta GLI.

The body kit will be the same one used on the TDI Cup race cars. Meanwhile, power from the 2.0-liter turbo-diesel I-4 stays at 140 horsepower and 236 pound-feet of torque. The TDI Cup Street is priced from $25,740, including destination.
