Customers are sure to get more value for their money if they buy the new Match model from Volkswagen’s Polo range. The Match is the replacement for the current SE and Moda trim levels. It features added equipment valued at £650 but its price is £215 lower than the models it is replacing. Meanwhile, the starting price of the Polo Match is £11,300 (RRP ‘on the road’) for the 1.2-litre 60 PS manual version.

The Polo Match has the features that are most popular on the current SE and Moda trims but it receives added specification.

Among its exterior highlights are fashionable 15-inch ‘Castille’ alloy wheels, heat-insulating tinted rear windows, and front fog lights. The main cabin offers much comfort and convenience.

It has been fitted with manual air conditioning, an RCD 310 radio / CD player, multifunction computer and MDI (Multi Device Interface) with iPod connectivity all standard. The model features electric windows and a comfort pack, remote central locking and electrically adjustable exterior mirrors.

Of course, it still has the standard safety equipment offered on the Polo, including a set of four airbags, ABS and ESP (Electronic Stabilisation Program).

Volkswagen is also offering a lineup of tempting finance deals for the Polo Match. When the car is purchased with a Solutions PCP package, the customer also gets one year’s free insurance and three years or 30,000 miles free servicing.

Customers can get to choose from a Match that has three doors or one that has five doors. It is also offered with a choice of three very efficient engines.

It is available with two petrol units: a 1.2-litre three-cylinder that delivers 60 PS and a 1.4-litre 85 PS. Customers can also choose a diesel version with a 1.2-litre 75 PS. They are equipped with a five-speed manual transmission as standard. There’s also a seven-speed DSG option with the 1.4-litre petrol engine.
