Love it or hate it: a two-door Range Rover Sport RS Coupe gets rendered

Article by Christian A., on May 1, 2017

Speaking of design, just recently, Land Rover gave us a first look at the Range Rover Evoque Cabrio. It is a hybrid in the sense that it is part truck, part sport car. It is a truck that is a convertible. It has two doors, but sits four passengers. The company actually calls it a “crossover with capability”. It’s strange, but in a nice way - visually. I think this is the kind of car that people would either want or hate with a vengeance. There aren’t too many of those; that’s why this is such an interesting imagery.

Anyway, let’s move on to the core of this article. There was a computer-generated photo of a Range Rover Sport that was posted on Behance, a creative social media platform late last week. And the outcome looks really sexy. It is a two-door Range Rover Sport Coupe. Yes, you heard it right, a two-door Range Rover Sport.

But don’t get too excited for those of you who want to get one, as this is just a simple exercise by a certain Craig A Clark of Blackburn, United Kingdom. Let us give credit to Clark for rendering something really cool. Though this creation may look unrealistic or somewhat unpractical, the more you examine the images, the more you would think that “hey, it might actually work”. Well, it visually looks sweet to be honest.

Clark’s caption “Range Rover Sport RS Coupe” isn’t something we usually hear. I mean “Range Rover” and a “Coupe” don’t typically appear in the same phrase or sentence. But it is his concept and it got us talking.

The closest model we can compare this rendering to is probably the Range Rover Evoque for having two doors, or perhaps the new Velar with its Coupe-like style. But I would say that this is a good-looking SUV, and it definitely looks more masculine than the Evoque and even the Velar.

So, what do you readers think? Will this Range Rover Sport RS Coupe work as a functional car, or should it just remain as a CGI? It’s not like we can convince Land Rover to make a production model of this if ever. But we just want to know what you think.
