This Joker-themed BMW i8 is a total villain

This BMW i8 will definitely catch the hearts of DC fans, particularly Batman fans. This is because the car has been given some pretty sick artwork.

Every time a new superhero movie comes out, there is hype that comes along with it. And if you are such a fanatic, you would want to own a car that has the same theme as the movie, wouldn't you? This BMW i8 is the perfect one for Joker fans, and the artwork gives the car an even more aggressive personality. Similarly, Kia came out with an Iron Man version of the Kona back just recently, while Jeep had once revealed a Dark Knight version of the Renegade back in 2016. Each car had its distinct personality, combining the car’s design with their unique liveries.

A few days ago, BMW revealed the Dark Knight themed i8, styled by EVE.RYN for the Super Carnival festival in Japan. The Jared Leto inspired crossover by Rene Turrek, on the other hand, is a total contrast to what we saw earlier. Joker recently came out in DC’s latest Suicide Squad film. This is not the first piece that Turrek has created. He has done a few other superhero vehicle mashups like the Ford Mustang with a Captain America livery and the Iron Man Lamborghini Aventador. Now the Joker i8 comes equipped with a 357 horsepower (266 kilowatts) 1.5 liter three cylinder hybrid engine setup with probably more power than the villain can handle.

The Dark Knight edition of the i8 is not a tuning package. Rather, it was done to market both the car and the movie, and we can definitely tell that it is a great marketing tactic. It came with a beautiful purple shade that is similar to the BMW i8 EVO Cyber Edition, except the Dark Knight edition had a bold red interior. Not only does the flashy EV have a unique colour scheme, but it also came with incredible aerodynamics making it look more futuristic.

As for the Joker edition, the i8 is finished with a combination of red, green and silver base from the headlight to the tailgate, representing the villain’s signature colour. The hood is then painted with Joker’s face and his grin, along with logos from the film and “HA” scattered around the body. These details come from Jared Leto’s tattoos in the film.

Furthermore, it comes with LED lighting fixtures on the hood as well as the side panels, making it look extra trippy. There are certain angles and wordings that have been illuminated to make it extra special.
