Rendering of extra wide Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio gets attention online

Article by Christian A., on March 3, 2017

There are more ways than one to make an Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio’s photo generate more likes (or angry reactions) on Facebook. It only goes to show how different folks have different tastes.

But if you’re a fan of Photoshop, there’s a Facebook account under the name KhyzySaleem that you can follow to see how an Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio could turn out if it swallowed one of its siblings.

In this photo for example, the Giulia has turned into a massively wide monster. Look at the big hips and how it has been enhanced by placing a new set of larger than life fender flares along with ludicrously wide set of wheels to match. To complete the monstrous look, the designer has added a 6-pack exhaust pipes ---enough to put any of its rivals to shame.

Under normal circumstances, the least a person could to a Giulia in real life is to tune up the 505hp and 443 lb-ft of torque currently coming from its 2.9 liter V6 power plant. Well, there are also options to install all-black tinted windows, blacked out headlights and a wider set of wheels.

The wide body kit is probably the last thing you would go for given the sport sedan is already charming as it is. The fact is, the Giulia is one of the brand’s most overhyped models in Alfa’s latest history. It involves bringing the Quadrifoglio to a Dyno shop to see how much power it gets to its wheels. It actually underwent a series of comparison tests to prove its worth among the best sport sedans in the industry.

Only last year, we heard so much about Alfa Romeo’s Giulia Quadrifoglio and how it wants to beat its closest contenders in the segment—the Mercedes-AMG C63, the Cadillac ATS-V and the BMW M3. Whatever that means, fans of the Italian brand have waited long enough for a BMW M3 killer to come by. This wide -bodied car-eating monster would’ve been the greatest answer.

According to KhyzySaleem’s post, “…NotBland Photography sent me this image he shot of the new Alfa Romeo Giulia, asking me what I’d do with it. This is what I did.”

Funny how some of the most awesome ideas just came out of the blue. And yet it seems so easy to fall head over heels with this one. So maybe we’ll be seeing more of these wide-bodied cold-blooded monsters anytime soon. Any idea what’s next?
