It’s a pretty common sight for Ferrari cars to be painted in many different colours, apart from classic red. And you might think you have seen it all - from red, to blue, to yellow, white, black, and to silver. Well, the Ferrari LaFerrari hasn’t gone through the entire whole colour wheel just yet. In fact, when a matte bronze LaFerrari coupe made its way through the roads of Monaco, many jaws dropped.
LaFerrari, which literally means “The Ferrari”, is a 2-door hybrid sports car that was built by Ferrari. The 2013 model is only limited to 499 units, while there are only 200 units of the 2016 LaFerrari Aperta. This car is actually dubbed “the most valuable 21st century automobile” because on December 3, 2016 – a limited edition model was sold at an auction for $7 million. That is equivalent to £5,743,500.
Several images have surfaced on social media showing a colour on a LaFerrari that we have never seen before -- bronze paint with a matte finish, dubbed Bronze Opaco. According to GTspirit, this specific shade was specially curated by Ferrari’s Tailor Made department for the LaFerrari.
The Marenello based company was established for customers who wish to customize their car based on their personal taste and to make their car as unique as they want. In other words, design your own Ferrari. This program was actually revived from way back (in the 1950s and 1960s) when people started personalizing their cars with a wide array of materials, colours, and finishes to choose from. There’s nothing better than owning a car you styled yourself.
The company lets their clients choose any shade they want. You can tell that the company makes it a point to fulfill whatever clients request for. But it does not end there. Because of the efforts of the Ferrari Styling Center in doing research and development, clients may also ask to customize the interior. Traditional, luxury and trendy materials will be available to choose from, including carbon-fiber, cashmere, and even denim!
The car also has been customized with matching brake calipers and black glossy wheels to complete the look. In fact, the gloss black finish of wheels makes the perfect contrast against the paint, by slightly toning down the facade of the car. At the same time, it adds to the overall appeal of the car.
An Instagram post by @wheelson.official shows that the vehicle was found parked outside Hotel de Paris in Monaco. There’s another sighting revealed by @sebcosse who saw it outside Cipriani restaurant in Monte Carlo. It was also seen another time in the same area where it was parked beside an F12tdf.
