FIAT will give its support to the upcoming Star Wars film, “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” with a stormtrooper-themed Fiat 500e. This was announced by Lucasfilm itself. FIAT and FCA US LLC, together with six other global brands of automobile makers, will be launching a groundbreaking campaign to promote the new Star Wars film, which is set to be released on December 18.
FIAT’s role will be to release a 500e that bears exterior aesthetics based upon the armor worn by stormtroopers of the First Order Legion. What results is a beautiful car with a two-tone black and white painting, as well as windshield and side windows designed to make the car look like the visor and helmet of the First Order stormtrooper.
However, the Star Wars-influenced design is not limited to the exteriors – the black and white theme is implemented heavily in the interiors as well. The dashboard is white and emblazoned with the Star Wars logo on its surface.
The details carry either black and white lacquer painting to further implement the stormtrooper theme, including the steering wheel. Feel like a part of the First Order legion as you drive, with a First Order insignia is placed on the steering wheel as well.
Finally, the 500e is a beast of modern technology and functionality, like the First Order stormtroopers are in the new Star Wars film. However, it retains a design that is distinctly FIAT, thanks to the geniuses at the Garage Italia Customs.
In addition to the stormtrooper-themed 500e, FIAT will put on display during the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show a special edition Fiat 500X, as part of its partnership with businesswoman Diane von Furstenberg’s brand.
The company had recently awarded a viewer of the “House of DVF” episode of E! with a customized Fiat 500X crossover, which featured a DVF Heritage print on the exterior.
The winner had responded to von Furstenberg’s challenge to share their stories of how they achieved their dreams as a woman, as part of the businesswoman’s promotion for her memoir “The Woman I Wanted To Be.”
Custom-wrapped Fiat 500X also featured prominently in the E! episode. The Fiat 500e stormtrooper follows after the “Force Friday” promotion at Uber that allowed New Yorkers to ride for free a stormtrooper-themed Dodge Charger. The promotion was facilitated by the car rental service Uber.
