Lamborghini Centenario is put on display at London dealership, set for delivery to HR Owen

Article by Christian A., on May 29, 2017

A few months ago, Lamborghini introduced the Centenario supercar. Since then, only eight units of the model were brought out by the company. And if you remember, we’ve already seen three of those examples: where the first one wore a combination of orange and black finish, the second one wearing a classic yellow and carbon fiber finish, and the third had a carbon fiber body though Lamborghini’s Ad Personam program, finished with blue accents - this one was a U.S. example.

This supercar, based on the Aventador, has been eagerly anticipated. To make everybody aware, the Centenario celebrates Lamborghini founder, Ferriccio Lamborghini’s 100th birthday. Having only 40 models built worldwide, 20 of those will be coupes, and the other 20 will be roadsters.

Each and every unit of the Centenario does have its own character, but we would say that the eighth one is the most unique of them all. Leading luxury dealer group, H.R. Owen has welcomed the supercar at its most famous Lamborghini London dealership on Saturday 27 May. What makes this Centenario unique from its other counterparts is that it wears a bare carbon fiber exterior combined with orange accents all over the body. This is currently the only example with this exclusive finish, and is the first of its kind in the U.K., making it a truly unique piece.

Knowing that this is an exclusive supercar, you should not be surprised if I tell you that it costs $1.9 million. It comes with a V12 engine producing a whopping 759 horsepower (565 kilowatts), with a top speed of 217 mph (347 kmh). And in only 2.8 seconds, it can reach up to 60 miles per hour (96 kilometers per hour).

H.R. Owen worked closely with the client beginning from the order, to conception, and finally the delivery of the Centenario. The supercar was then finally delivered in South Kensington in the UK, where it will temporarily be put on display during the Bank Holiday Weekend, before it heads down to its new home with the luxury dealer’s client.

Lamborghini London earned the title of the number one Lamborghini dealer in the world last year. This earned it the honor of finding the UK’s first Centenario a new home.

Like I said earlier, only 40 examples of the Lamborghini Centenario will be built worldwide, and this UK example is just one of the 20 coupes. This one is the fourth example that has been delivered so far, though it is the first in the U.K. The first three examples that we mentioned earlier have been delivered to countries including China, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States.

Press Release

First Lamborghini Centenario arrives in the UK

Leading luxury dealer group H.R. Owen is welcoming the UK’s first Lamborghini Centenario at its world-famous Lamborghini London dealership on Saturday 27 May.

The eagerly anticipated supercar based on the Aventador celebrates Lamborghini founder Ferruccio Lamborghini’s 100thbirthday, with only 40 models being manufactured worldwide (20 coupés and 20 roadsters).

H.R. Owen’s coupé model will arrive in South Kensington to something of a fanfare, before going on display in the iconic showroom for the duration of the Bank Holiday weekend.

Lamborghini London earned the title of the number one Lamborghini dealer in the world in 2016, and its unrivalled brand stature enabled it to find the UK’s first Centenario a new home.

H.R. Owen Lamborghini was exclusively granted the privilege of working closely with its client in facilitating the process from the order to conception and finally the delivery of the car.

Thanks to the personalisation of bare carbon, coloured accents and a matte roofline, H.R. Owen’s wonderful example of Lamborghini at its finest is a truly unique piece. However, this isn’t a car just for a gallery or garage; its 770hp and 0-62mph time of just 2.9 secs will be being fully utlised by its owner who believes his cars are built to be driven.

After going on display for a mere matter of days and wowing visitors to the Lamborghini London showroom, the Centenario will relocate to its new home with H.R. Owen’s client before officially hitting the streets of the capital.
