It seems that Dubai has become home to some of the largest dealerships in the world. For instance, Lamborghini of Italy and Bentley of the United Kingdom have their largest dealerships in the most populous and perhaps wealthiest city in the rich United Arab Emirates. Now, French carmaker Bugatti has recently opened its largest dealership in this wealthy city.
Opening a dealership in Dubai is a simple decision for carmakers – especially those building high-end and premium units – to make. After all, Dubai is a city where premium vehicles, supercars and exotic mobile units are a common sight. Seeing a Ferrari or a Lamborghini in different parts of the city is considered a normal event, considering that it is home or the second home to several of the world’s wealthiest families and individuals.
Considering the special status of Dubai among carmakers, it was no wonder that Bentley opened its largest dealership where it matters. In fact, the French carmaker has received 30 orders for its new Bugatti Chiron hypercar from the UAE alone. The establishment off the new dealership should boost Bugatti’s presence in the Middle East.
This dealership is a franchise operated by Al Habtoor Motors, which also runs a number of franchises in Dubai. Its showroom – with a floor space measuring nearly 2,600 square feet – is located on Sheikh Zayed Road, the same highway where Lamborghini’s dealership is located. For now, the Bugatti dealership only has one model on its showroom, although it is expected that it would display more in the next few weeks or months. For those who want to visit Bugatti’s largest dealership, they won’t have a hard time spotting the place thanks to a 13-foot-tall horseshoe – similar to the shape of the grille in the Chiron -- framing the doorway.
Al Habtoor Motors is the same company that also runs the Bentley and McLaren franchises in Dubai. It also operates franchises for a number other volume and commercial-vehicle brands. Its Bentley showroom – also the brand’s largest in the world – in located along the same road as its Bugatti dealership. This Bentley showroom is nearly 29 times larger than the Bugatti location, as it covers 75,000 square feet of space on six floors.
Weeks ago, Lamborghini’s largest dealership was opened in Dubai. Boasting of nearly 20,000 of floor space spanning three floors, this showroom is considered too roomy for any Lamborghini dealership, considering that the Italian brand only has two model lines for now, with the third already on the pipeline. However, this Lamborghini dealership isn’t operated by Al Habtoor Motors, but another company named Al Jaziri Motors.
