It looks like famous rap artist Ludacris has finally replaced his 1993 Acura Legend with a new one. The rapper recently received his freshly delivered supercar--- over six months after the new Acura NSX was initially launched. The new Acura NSX comes with a $156,000 starting price and is powered by a 573 hp, 3.5litre V6 twin turbo engine. Mated to a 9-speed dual clutch automatic transmission, it can deliver up to 476lb-ft of torque, allowing it to go from 0-60mph under 2.7 seconds with a top speed reaching 191 mph.
Christopher Brian Bridges aka Ludacris is also known for his role as Tej Parker in the Fast & the Furious. Just last December, the rapper’s social media account revealed the new NSX complete with red interior. So this must be the Christmas present he bought for himself. All these years, the dude has been driving Acura Legend’s 1993 model. That was even before he became a recording star.
Given his style and type of genre, Ludacris is often seen in music videos driving supercars. It only makes sense that he’s got one for personal use. In fact, he’s so open about his 1993 Acura Legend and has always been proud to drive it around. Only last year, the rapper met a minor accident while driving his now famous supercar. But since Ludacris loves his car to death, he had it fully restored by Acura. To set the record straight, he’s clearly not getting rid of the Legend for its sentimental value.
During last year’s launch however, Ludacris was highly amazed upon seeing the new Acura NSX model. When asked to share his thoughts, the rapper /actor said he was at “a loss for words” and all he could say was it was “amazing”. But when asked if he’s considering to buy one, he didn’t give a straight answer. Instead, he said he wanted to drive it first. Fast forward to today, it does look like he’s completely sold out from the first time he saw it.
These days, most of you probably know this guy as an actor. But years before Fast and the Furious, Chris Bridges has made a name for himself in the music industry. He’s got 5 platinums and 2 certified gold albums under his famous moniker ---“Ludacris”. What’s in a name? We don’t know. Maybe if you add “Luda” to his real name “Chris” minus the “h” then you come up with Ludacris. Never mind if it sounds “ludicrous”. He’s really into this Luda thing--- he even named his 2015 album Ludaversal.
