Lamborghini has begun handing over the Centenarios to their rightful owners in different parts of the world. Last month, the first out of the forty Aventador-based Centenario has been delivered to an affluent car collector all the way to the UAE. There is also the menacing matte black Lamborghini Centenario that was being transported in Germany a few days ago. And very recently, a matte white Centenario has made its way to Paris!
The white Lamborghini in the video is believed to belong to a certain Qatari Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al Thani. By far, the matte white finish is the most extraordinary paint scheme of all that has been delivered.
While the Centenario model that was put by Lamborghini at the show stands last year come in carbon fiber finish with yellow accents, this one generally comes in matte white body paint. But in many ways, it happens to express a different character since it also comes with contrasting color scheme.
Instead of plain white, a matte black finish is used for the diffuser, rear bumper, side skirts, A-pillars, roof and splitter including the wheels. To complete the distinct color pattern, Al Thani opted for a tri-color stripe along the middle plus a few accents in light blue along the edges. The green, white and red combination meanwhile is a tribute to Lamborghini’s Italian heritage.
Needless to say, the limited-only Centenario was made in honor of the 100th year anniversary of its founder, Ferrucio Elio Arturo Lamborghini. The Italian marque has only made a total of 40 Centenarios. All in all, this equates to 20 limited edition roadsters and 20 limited edition coupes
Under the hood, the Centenario comes with the same 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 stock engine similarly found on the Aventador. This provides the special edition supercar with up to 759hp (770 ps) and 690 newton meters of powerful torque. Consequently, it can go from 0-62 mph (0-100km/h) in as short as 2.8 seconds before reaching a top speed of 350 kilometers per hour.
Interestingly, the Centenario is also expected to break into Hollywood for the upcoming “TRANSFORMERS 5: The Last Knight” movie. It will be taking the role of “Hot Rod”, an Autobot along with “Barricade” a Ford Mustang and “Bumblebee”, a Chevrolet Camaro. Since September last year, “Hot Rod” has already been spotted in London together with the cast and crew of the Transformers. The movie will be shown in theaters this June.
