Cryptocurrency has started to tickle the fancy of many people, particularly Bitcoin. This week alone, 1 Bitcoin has reached around $17,500. Analysts are predicting that at the end of 2018, this value could reach as high as $50,000, or even $60,000. Not surprising to learn that many people are now trying look for ways to own Bitcoins.

One such enterprising individual is doing something unique. He is selling his brand new McLaren in return for some Bitcoins.

According to a posting on Craigslist, the seller is based in Atlanta, Georgia. The model is a new McLaren 720S and was initially offered for 30 BTC before the seller lowered it to 25 BTC. The listing also made it clear that the seller would not be accepting cash and would accept “bitcoin ONLY.” As of this writing, 25 BTC would be just a little about $440,000.

Given that the McLaren 720S comes at a starting price valued at $284,475, this means the model being sold is priced way higher than the standard versions.

Based on the image included on the listing, the 720S has been finished in the signature Azores Orange. Features include heated and electric seats on the inside. It comes with a performance trim, a sports exhaust, and even a stealth pack. Fitted to it are the alloy 10-spoke wheels.

For those who are interested and are within the area, it would be a good idea to see the 720S in person before dishing out 25 BTC. In order to confirm such an appointment, the seller expects prospective buyers to transfer at least 0.00001 BTC, which is around $0.20.

Officially launched during the Geneva Motor Show held in March 2017, the McLaren 720S is the second model in the McLaren Super Series. As of May 2017, this model replaced the 650S. Utilizing a modified carbon chassis, the 720SA is both stiffer and lighter compared to the 650S.

The engine is capable of delivering 720 PS, hence the name. This is equivalent to around 710 hp. Peak torque meanwhile has been measured to be 568 lb.-ft. or 770 Nm. With this, the 720S can go from 0 to 62 mph in 2.7 seconds. This is faster compared to the 650S by 0.3 second and quicker versus the 675LT by 0.2 second. From a standstill to 124 mph meanwhile, it only takes the 720S 7.8 seconds.

This is faster by 0.6 second than the 650S and 0.1 second compared to the 675LT. Maximum speed meanwhile is 220 mph (360 km/h). Even with this amount of power, CO2 emissions remain to be at the top of the class at 249 g/km. Combined fuel economy on the other hand is rated to be 26.4 mpg. These values, when compared to the 650S, are better by 10%.
