If the normal Porsche Panamera was a disaster, what more a hearse version?

Article by Christian A., on April 10, 2016

It’s not exactly the Porsche “to die for” but the Porsche Panamera turned hearse is just one of those cars that will really kill you especially if you are a Porsche fan. Now the Panamera itself is not as pretty as the other vehicles in the Porsche arsenal but whoever thought of turning it into a hearse is rotten to the core. Spell evil.

The Panamera is a four-door coupe contrary to the usual two-door sports cars manufactured by the German automaker. It has two wheelbase lengths and powertrains ranging from non-turbo and twin-turbo V6s, a V-8 engine, and even a 416 horsepower plug-in hybrid. The Panamera has an EPA rating of 16/23 mpg and is capable of producing 430 horsepower. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in only 4.0 seconds. Additionally, it has a top speed of 175 miles per hour.

Even with impressive specs, the Porsche Panamera was not spared from the eyes of aesthetic critics. It has a very pudgy front end and a particularly odd rear end. And unlike the very clean sedans usually made by the German automaker, this one just didn’t make the cut. Now that plus an extended rear end to make room for a funerary box, equals disaster.

The Porsche Panamera hearse was spotted behind a flatbed tow truck in Italy. Most probably it was being transported to another one of its gigs. This version was fitted with standard Panamera Turbo and Turbo S wheels and is most likely running with the same 4.8-liter twin turbocharged V8.

Compared to a Rolls-Royce Phantom hearse, the Panamera hearse looks a lot like a potato. It’s unbelievably horrible, even more dreadful than death itself. The Rolls-Royce Phantom hearse on the otherhand still gives the same royal treatment just like a normal Rolls-Royce.

What with that Panamera hearse sighting in Italy, one just has to conclude that we should just leave the hearse-making to the experts – and we mean Cadillac. Even as a normal sedan, the Panamera cannot even compete with those in the same class, what more with a horrid rear extension and a corpse lying from the back of the car?

Porsche has some of the most luxurious and captivating vehicles in the world but a hearse is just not its style. Let’s just hope whoever thought it funny to turn the Panamera into a hearse realizes that it is the biggest mistake of their entire pathetic lives.
