Second-hand or used cars are usually appreciated because of their lower prices. Some used-car buyers hit the jackpot when they chance upon a car that has been well maintained and managed – and with less than 10,000 km on the odometer sold at a low price.

However, there are used cars that even go beyond their book value simply because they were formerly owned by famous celebrities – like athletes, actors or actresses, singers, talk show hosts, local heroes or even politicians. Fans and collectors would surely line up to get such vehicles even at a price higher than their book values.

But what if that car used to ferry the current top man of the Russian Federation in his first term as the second president of the country? As the private seller (a certain Sergei Urov) claims, this GUARD Mercedes-Benz S600 Pullman used to be one of the rides of current Russia President of Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. And this limousine-type vehicle is being sold at mobile.de -- which tags itself as the largest online vehicle market in Germany – for a whopping $1.3 million, which could be around ten times than the normal worth of a car of this type.

To be fair, this is not your ordinary Mercedes-Benz S-Class. It is a 1995 Mercedes-Benz S600 Pullman Guard built straight from the factory. It has been stretched as long its can be, thereby providing superior cabin room, especially for its rear passengers. Its interior is splendidly fitted to match the prestige of its high-ranked passengers. The passenger cabin boasts of two pairs of luxuriously covered white seats (with armchairs) facing each other.

These pairs are divided by a white center console. Every inch of the passenger cabin is oozing with luxury and you can still imagine Putin sitting inside while being transported from one place to another as part of his presidential duties.

According to the post on mobile.de, this 1995 Mercedes-Benz S600 Pullman Guard is powered by a 6.0-liter V12 engine that delivers around 290 kW (394 PS) of output paired to an automatic transmission. It was first registered in April 1995, and surprisingly, it has only logged around 25,000 km on its odometer. This means that this Mercedes-Benz S600 Pullman Guard could have already been on duty even before it was used to as transport unit for Putin.

This presidential limousine features ABS, central locking, cruise control, electric heated seats, electric windows, power assisted steering and sunroof. It seems that the Russian topped all the options for this 1995 Mercedes-Benz S600 Pullman Guard, including door power latch and the maximum level B6/B7 armored doors.
