Nissan launches 6 Midnight Edition models at 2017 Chicago Auto Show

What does Chevy’s all–new Redline Series have to say about this? Nissan always takes the lead in designing trim packages for self-expression. As soon as Nissan first came out with the Maxima Midnight Edition last 2016, it quickly gained a positive feedback from its customers. To keep up with the increasing demand for more varieties, Nissan introduces the Midnight Edition package for its Sentra, Rogue, Pathfinder, Murano, and Altima models.

According to Nissan’s Eric Ledieu, about eighty-five percent of the entire SR sales has been accounted for the Maxima SR after it initially introduced the black-on-black exterior trim package. Ledieu added that although the positive audience reaction was quite unexpected at that time, they made it immediately available on the Maxima SR. After all, increasingly more people want to have that “sporty look” with dark accents and dark wheels.

The latest “Midnight Edition” basically consists of black trim accessories but it now has broader and more numerous choices for exterior body paints. Depending on the model, there will be several red variations available including Red Alert, Cayenne and Coulis. The black variants will come in Gun Metallic, Magnetic Black and Super Black. Other than red and black, customers can also avail the Midnight Edition with a Pearl White exterior paint finish.

All special edition models are currently being showcased at the 2017 Chicago Auto Show, except for the Rogue Edition which will have a separate premiere this coming month. Expect the Rogue to come with black splash guards, black roof racks, black floor mats and black spoilers. The blacked out trims will also be seen along the diffusers, wheels and side mirrors.

For those interested, the Midnight Edition will be based on the SR trim level, as with those on the Nissan Sentra, Maxima and Altima. Meanwhile, both the Pathfinder and Nissan Murano Platinum models can be had with the special edition blacked-out trims. As for the Rogue, the edgy styling kit will only be available on the SV variant.

The pricing also varies for each model. The Sentra Midnight Edition costs $490 while the Pathfinder, Murano and Maxima costs $1,195 each. Both Rogue and Altima models offer the Midnight Edition package for the price of $990.

For bargain hunters, Nissan is also offering price cut deals for the packages. Simply put, instead of purchasing the accessories piece by piece on a Nissan Sentra SR for a total of $500, it would be best to avail the package all at once for as low as $490.
