The Ram 1500 pickup truck and its heavy duty siblings Ram 2500 and Ram 3500 are all hardworking mobile machines. However, this doesn’t mean they can’t be dressed up for the prom. In fact, Ram is now showing the stylish sides of these hardworking pickup trucks at the 2017 Chicago Auto Show.
First up is the 2017 Ram 1500 Copper Sport Limited Edition. This limited edition is wrapped in Copper Pearl paint finish, a deep-orange color that is very visually enticing. A double stripe (in black) adorns the center of the hood of the 2017 Ram 1500 Copper Sport limited edition, running from the nose to the border of the windshield. Likewise, the badges on the 2017 Ram 1500 Copper Sport limited edition are also specified in black. Depending on the wheel drive system employed, the Copper Sport limited edition rides on either 20-inch or 22-inch polished aluminum wheels.
Meanwhile, the interior of the 2017 Ram 1500 Copper Sport limited edition complements the color scheme on the exterior.
For instance, the seats and the embroidery come with orange stitching. Interior trim is specified in anodized Copper paint. Since the orange and copper color combo could make the cabin too bright, they are toned down by a black headliner and pillars. The 2017 Ram 1500 Copper Sport limited edition also features a nine-speaker Alpine audio system as part of the included standard equipment.
The brand is offering the Copper Sport on the Crew Cab body of the Ram 1500 that is powered by a 5.7-liter V8 engine as paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The 2017 Ram 1500 Copper Sport limited edition has a starting price of $46,950, including $1,320 in destination charge.
On the other hand, Ram is also displaying at Chicago Auto Show its 2500 and 3500 Heavy Duty trucks – all specified with the brand’s Night packages. However, Ram is offering the Night package on the Crew Cab body of the Ram 2500 and single rear-wheel versions of the Ram 3500. The Night package includes a black grille with black horizontal slats; black 20-inch aluminum wheels wrapped in tires with white-lined letterings; bold flat black badging; and a massive RAM logo on the tailgate.
Inside, the cabin of the Ram 2500 and 3500 Heavy Duty trucks in Night package comes with smoked chrome accents. They are also loaded with heated seats -- wrapped in cloth and vinyl upholstery – with 10-way power controls. These 2500 and 3500 Heavy Duty trucks in Night package also features automatic temperature control and power-adjustable pedals.
Available engines for the Ram 2500 and 3500 Heavy Duty trucks in Night package include 5.7-liter and 6.4-liter V8 powerplants and the 6.7-liter Cummins diesel inline six from Cummins. Starting price is pegged at $46,840 including destination charge.
