Last year, when Chrysler Group introduced the Beats by Dr. Dre audio system on the Chrysler 300 and made quite a buzz… as a result, the American manufacturer will offer the well-known audio system also on the 2012 Dodge Charger. The first who will be able to experience firsthand demonstration will be those who will attend the 2012 Detroit Auto Show and he 2012 Consumer Electronic Show (CES).

Just like the Chrysler 300, the 2012 Dodge Charger will feature three 3.5-inch speakers located in the instrument panel, two 3.5-inch speakers located in the rear doors, two 6 x 9-inch front-door woofers provide bass, 6 x 9-inch speakers and a center-mounted 8-inch speaker located in the rear-shelf area provide full-range audio and an 8-inch Beats Audio trunk-mounted dual-voice coil subwoofer with sealed enclosure delivers tight, powerful, punchy bass.

According to Chrysler, the Beats by Dr. Dre Audio system will be available as standard on the 2012 Dodge Charger R/T Max and included with the Blacktop Package or Rallye Appearance Group on Dodge Charger SXT models.

The Blacktop Package transforms the 2012 Dodge Charge into a car inspired by “Men in Black” movie, which means that the vehicle gets tinted windows, black five-spoke wheels and smoked tail lights. The rest remains the same, which means that under the hood we will find the standard Pentastar V6 engine delivering 292 hp and best-in-class 31 miles per gallon (mpg) on the highway, thanks to the ZF eight-seed automatic transmission.

For those who want more, the 5.7-liter HEMI V8 is available and delivers 370 hp and 395 lb.-ft. of torque. The new Dodge Charger proudly delivers premium, world-class sedan precision at an incredible value, starting at a U.S. MSRP of only $25,495. Proof of this is the premium soft-touch materials. As added attraction, four color combinations will be offered for the interior. In terms of technological features, it has the top-of-the-line Garmin navigation system and the dual zone climate controls.

Through the SIRIUS Travel Link, the driver can check on the current price of fuel. There is also the Uconnect Touch which offers occupants an exceptional experience. This is because it utilizes convenience technologies and integrates it with a world-class infotainment system ensuring that occupants are not only connected but also feel comfortable and safe.

It has been fitted with the three-spoke thick-rimmed Dodge steering that ensures better grip and performance feel and thus channels efficiently the feel of the chassis to the road.
