One of the most expected cars for 2011 is the next-generation of the Honda Civic, but it appears that the waiting will be over in January, at the 2011 North American International Auto Show (Detroit Auto Show) when a concept version of the new car will be unveiled.
Honda officially announced today the new concept and also released the first sketch with the new concept. As you can see, the concept version, which is believed to be very close to the production version, shows a sleek and aerodynamic profile.
With the new Honda Civic Si Concept coupe and the Civic Concept sedan, world will get an official glimpse of the styling direction of the ninth-generation Honda Civic. Honda has been known for its vision of a “Civic for all people” which was regarded as defining the goal for the first Civic that was released. ." To make this possible, Honda will be offering a wide range of engine options for its class. These include a coupe and sedan utilizing standard gasoline-powered engines, two sporty "Si" performance versions, a hybrid version, as well as a natural gas alternative-fuel model.
Furthermore, Honda also announced that the production version of the ninth-generation Civic, which will be offered as a 2012 model, will go on sale in spring 2011.

In October, Honda unveiled the new Civic (2011 model year) that has received a range of cosmetic enhancements. The 2011 Honda Civic now features a new front grille inspired by the iconic ‘Type R’ model. A new set of 16-inch wheels are now standard on the new Civic while the five-door 1.8-liter Si model now rides on a fresh set of 17-inch rims.
On the other hand, the new 2011 Honda Civic Type S model receives color-coded side skirts and revised 16-inch alloys. A new exterior color -- dubbed as Ionized Bronze – is now also available across the Civic range.
Inside, the new 2011 Honda Civic boasts of a new set of new interior finishes. The SE and ES trims of the new Civic get half fabric and Alcantara. The Civic Si, meanwhile, gets half leather and Alcantara with heated front seats. As for the price, the new 2011 Honda Civic will have a starting price of £13,995 for the 1.4 Type S in the United Kingdom.
