Jeep introduced today at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show the Wrangler Arctic Special Edition, a model that adds new factory-customized model for Wrangler. Based on the Jeep Wrangler Sahara model, the new special edition features exclusive styling cues.

According to the manufacturer, the “Arctic badge and decal recall the Yeti, the legendary creature that according to folk tradition lives in the uncontaminated nature of the extreme North”.

The design is completed by the unique black 17-inch wheels, original Mopar accessories as well as by the exclusive interior enhanced by distinctive colors and details.

Riding on the coattails of the success of recent special edition releases, the Jeep brand is launching its newest models: the Jeep Liberty Arctic and the new 2012 Jeep Wrangler Arctic.

These two new models are inspired by the extreme and rugged winter conditions that you experience in the arctic, where temperatures could reach -50°F while wind speeds top more than 100 miles per hour. This is one of the most severe climates around the world.

Chrysler Group LLC’s president and CEO for the Jeep Brand, Mike Manley, comments that there are there are few environments that are more demanding and grueling than the arctic, and this is the same environment that Jeep vehicles are designed to conquer. Manley says he is sure that the new models would appeal to their fans as well as bring new customers through the door.
