This BMW M760Li might be the car you are looking for if you are into yachts and sailing. As you know, the BMW 7-Series is the company’s range topping model, but now, it has partnered with Nautor’s Swan (which is known for their luxury sailing yachts). This special edition 760Li that comes with unique features was developed to honor 25 years of BMW Individual’s history.
To make the already luxurious model even more upscale, the company had to give it more upgrades. This includes unique brake calipers that have been finished in the same colour as the car, while wearing the exclusive Nautor’s Swan logo that only the exclusive model gets. The car also has the same logo affixed on the rear end. These are just some elements that you get on the outside, and most of the new luxury add-ons can be found in the cabin.
Details that will remind you of a yacht include teak wood paneling with joints filled precisely with a layer of rubber. This rubber helps the wood expand and contract when the climate changes, just like what you would find in a luxury sailing yacht. The trunk floor also gets carbon bonded wood components, matched with an Alcantara Smoke White finish.
Since this BMW M760Li is inspired by Nautor’s Swan, the automaker had the luxury yacht company produce the interior trims, door sills and floor mats. This model also has a couple of features that differentiate them from the standard model. For instance, small details include stitched Nautor’s Swan logos onto the headrests and cushions, including the sun visors and the interior trims, where each one is made of European Oak.
Under the special edition BMW M760Li’s hood is the same M Performance TwinPower turbocharged V12 that can be found on other 7 Series models. It will cost less than the M760Li xDrive V12 Excellence, which already costs over $150,000 alone.
The 6.6 liter V12 enables the car to carry out 610 horsepower (448 kilowatts) and 590 pound-feet (800 Newton-metres) of torque, that gives it the ability to sprint from standstill to 62 miles per hour (100 kilometers per hour) in only 3.7 seconds. This engine works with an eight-speed Steptronic Sport transmission.
During the upcoming 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show, we will be able to see BMW Individual’s M760Li inspired by Nautor’s Swan. As of now, we do not know how much money one would have to shell out to get this special edition vehicle, but we do know that it will take a heavy toll on anyone’s bank account.
Nevertheless, we think that it is a brilliant idea for BMW to partner with Nautor’s Swan to design this special edition model.
