Those who will attend the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show will be able to personally witness the Mercedes-Benz EQ A Concept, but if you want to experience something even more high-tech, check out the automaker’s E-Class Estate that features an augmented reality roof box. You’ll probably wonder how Mercedes-Benz Accessories’ demonstration works. Well, visitors of the auto show will have to use Microsoft’s HoloLens glasses and a camera to recognize their hand movements, which lets them store skis and bags into the storage space.
Some of you may not be into high-tech gimmicks like this, and that’s completely fine because Mercedes-Benz Accessories will also display several customized X-Class pickups that will demonstrate the wide variety of available parts to improve the truck’s overall appearance. These include soft or hard tonneau covers for the truck, a bed cap, styling bars, side steps, a bed liner and storage box. For a more durable and a better off road truck, Mercedes can offer you a three-piece stainless steel underbody guard to protect the engine, transmission and exhaust system.
It is not just the pickup that Mercedes will be putting on display in Frankfurt. A GLC Coupe will feature the company’s aftermarket roof spoiler. In the cabin, passengers will get an attachment point that fits a coat hanger, folding table, a camera mount, or tablet holder. The C-Class Estate gets the same item too. The GLA-Class, on the other hand, will be getting roof rail tracks. This lets the compact crossover carry the Mercedes-Benz Mountain Bike, with a carbon fiber frame and 3.9 inches (100 millimeters) of suspension travel. Last but not the least, the S-Class Cabrio sits on a set of 10-spoke, 20-inch wheels.
The Frankfurt Motor Show is not just about showcasing new cars and concept models, as visitors can also purchase items including this limited-edition 1:18-scale X-Class model. Mercedes has only built 150 examples of this, and they will only be sold at the event, so only a few visitors can take these home. The exclusive trucks will come in a Matte Black paint and Yellow Limonite Metallic. Furthermore, Mercedes-Benz Accessories will be offering 1,000 examples of a 1:18 scale V-Class van model, and these will have Designo Hyacinth Red exterior paint and a sliding door that functions.
Overall, the company will put on display eleven vehicles that will be equipped with original Mercedes-Benz accessories and parts of display - from the C-Class to the GLA. Visitors may also choose gift items, model cars, and a tempting array of accessories.
