BMW has finally provided an official preview of the Concept X7 iPerformance just before it makes its debut at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show this month. The concept is a combination of a chiseled exterior and a three-row interior surrounded with a lot of glass.
The company got the name “iPerformance” to refer to the SUV’s mix of plug-in hybrid powertrain and turbocharged combustion engine. This type of engine should work efficiently for such a large vehicle, by giving it just enough power.
The Concept X7 will be assembled and produced in BMW’s plant in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The company plans to release the production model by 2018. Moreover, the Bavarian company might even add an ultra-luxurious trim, wherein the third row of seats can be converted into a spacious area for passengers.
BMW has been planning to introduce a sport utility vehicle or in their words, “sports activity vehicle”. We assume this to be larger than the X5, so that is probably the X7 you are looking at right now.
