To make its world debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show a few days from now is the latest generation Chopster, which was enhanced by tuning specialists at the Mansory subsidiary from Switzerland.
The Mansory Chopster, which is based on the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S, had modifications on all its aspects. Aside from a new body styling and interior refinements, it also had aerodynamic elements and performance upgrades.
The body modifications are mostly made of carbon, including front- or rear apron, doors, bonnet or the wings. Due to these changes, the car is broadened by 80 millimeters; acceleration values are improved, and the braking distance is reduced as with the fuel consumption.
The car was also fitted with large air inlets and four extra headlights, giving it a more sporty and dynamic look.
The upgrade to the car’s performance includes the modified V8 outputs 710 hp and a maximum torque of 900 Nm, achieving a maximum speed of 302 km/h. In addition to the engine upgrade, the car now has a sport exhaust system with an optimized off-gas stream that consists of a racing header and a four-pipe baffler.
The Chopster has also been fitted with fully forged 11x23 inch mono block rims in turbine design and Dunlop Sport Maxx GT-tires sized 315/25/23. You can opt to lower the SUV´s center of gravity by 45 mm. For the car’s interior, the tuners used leather skins, which were accentuated with discreet decorative stitches.
It cannot be argued however, that the highlight is the center console that stretches from the back compartment to the dashboard.
In addition, the Chopster has been equipped with four individual sports seats with shell-type seats made of carbon fiber, airbag sports steering wheel, aluminum pedals, two monitors in the center console as well as DVD-player and laptop with internet connection.
