If you find it hard to believe that beauty and power can go together, then the Mercedes-Benz "Concept IAA" (Intelligent Aerodynamic Automobile) might just change your mind. Having recently made its debut at the Frankfurt International Motor Show, the "Concept IAA" has plenty to offer the serious car fan.
The dimensions of the "Concept IAA" include a length of 5040 millimetres (5430 mm in aerodynamic mode), width of 1995 mm, and height of 1305 mm. It has a wheelbase of 2975 mm, and has front/rear track widths that measure 1710 and 1770 mm, respectively.
Its Cd value of 0.19 makes it comparable to the brand’s racing vehicles – one of which is the Mercedes-Benz W 25 that broke records during the 1936 season.
If you look at each of the vehicle segments, chances are it is a Mercedes-Benz vehicle that takes the top spot when it comes to aerodynamics. In fact, the Cd figure of 0.22 recorded by the Mercedes-Benz CLA in 2013 marks an all-time low for the brand as well as among the series production models.
