Peugeot’s latest model, the new Peugeot 308, will have its global debut at the 65th Frankfurt Motor Show slated next month. The Peugeot 308 compact family hatchback is part of the carmaker’s 30-car exhibition that will showcase its ambitions and continued move up market. Peugeot will also unveil the ‘308 R Concept,’ a performance-oriented version of the C-segment challenger that is developed to drive up push customers’ expectations of the Peugeot brand.

Peugeot will also feature its HYbrid4 diesel-electric hybrid offerings, bannered by two innovative hybrid vehicles: the 208 HYbrid FE ‘demonstrator’ and the 2008 HYbrid Air Concept. Each of these HYbrid4 diesel-electric hybrids highlights the brand considerable technological and environmental prowess in low carbon dioxide vehicles.
Not to be absent at the 65th Frankfurt Motor Show are the brand’s flagship RCZ R Sports Coupé that will be rolled out early 2014, and the Onyx Supercar Concept. But Peugeot’s spotlight will shine on its new 308 hatchback, with nine examples are slated to dot the brand’s stand at the motor show.
The five-door compact family hatchback highlights Peugeot’s ambition of creating a vehicle with a refined yet contemporary exterior design and an intuitive PEUGEOT i-Cockpit interior that exudes quality and sophistication.
Peugeot will be unveiling the new RCZ R during the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed. The official launch though will take place at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show in September. Utilizing the brand’s knowledge when it comes to driving design and experience, this new model is the super-performance variant of the already celebrated Sports Coupé.
Peugeot Sport Director Bruno Famin shared that since the RCZ Peugeot Sport was created for racing, it has resulted in sporting success. He added that the passion that it brings should never be unanswered. Famin said further that Peugeot Sport developed a series to make it even more athletic and given the performance, this latest version of the RCZ was more than obvious.
Meanwhile Peugeot Product Director Xavier Peugeot said that the dynamic performance of the RCZ improves the strength of its style. With the R version being able to offer 270 bhp, he continued, it will truly make every sports car fan happy. Indeed, even with the 1.6-liter displacement, the new THP capable is capable of being able to deliver 270 bhp.
Even with this performance, the new Peugeot RCZ R has unparalleled efficiency with CO2 emissions measuring 145 g/km. Considering the power available, the brand fitted this model with the Torsen differential in order to harness it by offering at high levels dynamic sensations and grip efficiency. Sales of the new RCZ R are expected to begin in the early part of 2014.
