Land Rover will unveil the Range Rover Autobiography Ultimate Edition at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show. This flagship hand-finished exclusive model is powered by any of the available V8 engines, including the new 4.4 liter LR-TDV8 Diesel engine mated to a new eight-speed transmission that features Drive Select with Paddle Shift. This 4.4 liter LR-TDV8 Diesel engine could deliver up to 313PS of output and 700Nm of torque.

Despite this power, this new engine consumes less fuel and emits 14-percent less carbon dioxide than its predecessor, which makes it compliant with the strict EU5 emissions standards. In terms of numbers, the 4.4 liter LR-TDV8 Diesel engine features a fuel consumption figure of 30.1mpg (combined cycle). This version of the Range Rover Autobiography Ultimate Edition is the first Range Rover to surpass 30mpg.

Engineers at Land Rover have tuned the eight-speed ZF automatic transmission to allow it to deliver smooth shifting and quick response as well as enhanced fuel economy. This gearbox also enables the Range Rover to accelerate from nil to 60mph in just mere 7.5 seconds and complete the 50mph-75mph sprint in just 5.1 seconds. In addition, the Range Rover Autobiography Ultimate Edition could be equipped with the LR-V8 5.0 Supercharged engine that delivers 510PS of output and 625Nm of torque, allowing the vehicle to sprint from zero to 60mph in just 5.9 seconds.

Both versions of the Range Rover Autobiography Ultimate Edition are endowed with Land Rover's Terrain Response system that optimizes the vehicle configuration for almost all driving situations -- on-road or off-road.

This system offers five different settings to allow the vehicle to adapt to different terrains like Hill Start Assist and Gradient Acceleration Control. The Range Rover Autobiography Ultimate Edition features a handcrafted luxury interior that makes use of soft feel natural leathers. The cabin of the Range Rover Autobiography Ultimate Edition provides the driver with distinct command driving position for superior visibility and comfort.

It also provides rear passengers with top-notch accommodation never before featured in a Range Rover – two standalone electric rear seats that allow first-rate space and comfort. Moreover, the rear cabin comes with a rear console extension that includes a machined aluminum laptop table and drinks chiller as well as two Apple iPads as standard. Moreover, the Range Rover Autobiography Ultimate Edition features a luxury-themed rear load space, particularly with its super yacht-inspired teak floor as well as metal and leather detailing.

Amazingly enough, the interior of the Range Rover Autobiography Ultimate Edition has high-end semi-aniline leather seating as well as Oxford leather on the steering wheel, door casings and dashboard top. Moreover, the fascia and door top rolls feature Kalahari wood veneers while the interior colorways could also be availed in dark cherry or Arabica. On the other hand, the exterior could be wrapped in new color finishes -- Roussillon Red or Otago Stone.

The door handles, dark atlas radiator grille and side vents could also be availed in body color. The Range Rover Autobiography Ultimate Edition also features tailgate badging and rides on distinct 20-inch multi-spoke diamond-turned alloy wheels. Customers may also avail of the Exterior Design Pack and deployable side steps.

Designed, engineered and built in the United Kingdom, each Range Rover Autobiography Ultimate Edition will only be built when a customer order comes in, thereby guaranteeing its exclusivity. Land Rover plans to build and sell 500 examples of the Range Rover Autobiography Ultimate Edition in over 20 markets around the world.
