Earlier today, we showed you the 2015 Audi TT, so we will not talk about the new design showed by the 2015 Audi TTS. We’ll get straight under the hood, where we find a 2.0-liter TFSI engine that produces 310 hp (228 kW) and 380 Nm of torque (280.27 lb-ft).
The engine is bolted to a manual transmission as standard, while the S tronic is offered as an option and includes launch control, which regulates maximum acceleration from a standstill. From a standstill, the 2015 Audi TTS accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.7 seconds and has a top speed electronically limited at 250 km/h or 155 mph.
Like all Audi S models, the TTS exhales through four oval tailpipes. There are also two additional paints available for the TTS – crystal-effect Panther Black and the highly expressive Sepang Blue.
Inside, we find newly developed S sport seats with highly contoured and pneumatically adjustable side sections. Moreover, the Audi magnetic ride is standard on the Audi TTS and is available as an option for all other TT versions.
Compared to its predecessors, the new Audi TT offers a wider palette of colors. Of the 11 available exterior colors, one of them is reserved exclusively for the S line. Seven of these colors are new for the TT, while two of them -- Nano Gray and Tango Red -- are fresh hues for Audi. Two new paints are likewise available for the TTS: Sepang Blue and Panther Black.
Audi is also making available new colors for the interior of the new vehicle. In fact, the Audi TT and the TTS are each available in three interior colors. In addition, a two-tone interior -- including contrasting stitching for S line models -- is now also available.
The new Audi TTS comes with further interior elements. Customers could now add selectable color accents to the S sport seats clasps, to the air vent rings as well as to the sides of the center console.
As expected of Audi, the premium carmaker offers various customization options. For instance, three leather packages are being offered while the seats could be upholstered in various cloths and leather grades. Moreover, the center section of the S sport seats features diamond quilting.
Interestingly, the new Audi TTS features the elegant combination of two fine leather colors: dark murillo brown on the seats and stone-grey pearl on the armrests, cowl and knee supports. This upholstery and trim also feature contrasting stitching as well as dark aluminum paint for the extended interior elements. A special woven floor mat is also included.
The TTS, on the other hand, features a technical laser texture for the wings of its instrument panel. The wings of the panel now have a slightly raised surface with a honeycomb pattern, lending the Audi TTS a sporty feel.
