2014 Geneva Preview: Arash AF8 supercar introduced

Article by Christian A., on February 28, 2014

Koenigsegg One:1 was not the only supercar that made its debut today as Arash also unveiled its all-new AF8. We believe that this is the successor of the AF10, which was introduced approximately four years ago. The new Arash AF8 uses a 7.0-liter V8 engine, used also by the Corvette and produced by GM, that delivers 550 hp (410 kW) and 640 Nm (472 lb-ft) of torque.

Using a six-speed manual transmission and weighing only 1,200 kg (2,645 lbs) the Arash AF8 accelerates from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 3.5 seconds and has a top speed of 200 mph or 322 km/h.

Regarding the design, we can’t say that the Arash AF8 is an impressive supercar but we admit that it is an original design that promises to battle with the current supercars found on the market.

Arash AF8 features bi-xenon headlights, a stylish front bumper with big air inlets, carbon giber body panels, LED taillights, a titanium exhaust system and a double wishbone suspension. The design is completed by the 19-inch front/20-inch rear alloy wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot 2 tires.
