Adam Rocks is another very significant building block in the product offensive played out by Opel. With a unique body and design, premium-like equipment, and high emotional appeal, Adam Rocks doesn’t just copy familiar recipes. While segment competitors go down the path of retro design, the Adam family hinges its core values on imagination, innovation, quality, and individualization.
Adam Rocks establishes a new market niche as it appeals to the young and the image-conscious urban dwellers who want their cars to be a reflection of their individual personality and those who set style trends. The Adam, which is the industry's individualization champion, already shows what’s possible. Adam Rocks now raises the bar higher and joins together the expression and power of a crossover possessing the added cool factor of having canvas roof for open-air driving pleasure.
Opel expects that the majority of the buyers for Adam Rocks is going to be above 35 years old and it expects a 40:60 male/female ratio. These groups are fashion conscious and place great value on individuality.
They also do not just go with the trends, but they actually actively create them and thus act as opinion-leaders. As such, this demographic will be influential to other potential buyer groups, like the 'social climber' group composed of people over 35 years old. Individuals in this buyer group already have their own families and are looking for a second family car with individuality, premium equipment features, and high-quality interior.
