Bugatti’s one-car stand receives top award at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show

Article by Christian A., on March 24, 2017

This 2017, the committee noticed Bugatti’s “efficient design”, “details” and “quality of workmanship” to be very convincing ---despite having only one vehicle for the entire duration of the two-week event. It also indicates how the rather small-sized show area proved to be so much more impressive for the jurors than those which had a bigger floor area for their exhibit.

For the past fourteen years, the Club de publicité et de communication de Genève has been giving out the same award in Switzerland’s yearly car event. The jurors consist of communications and publicity specialists who are members of the CPG committee.

Bugatti’s show stand stood out at the exhibit hall for its unique design. In this case, the stand consists of a curved roof that looks highly “convincing”. The judges had noticed it primarily for its arrangement-- wherein the curves were positioned exactly where the beaming light shines towards the show model. Aside from the curved structure, Bugatti’s creativity in turning a small area into one spectacular edifice not just won the judges’ approval but also appealed to the hearts of the many audiences who attended the 87th Geneva Motor Show.

The star of Bugatti’s exhibit stand is none other than the 1,479bp Bugatti Chiron in blue-tinted carbon which was specially ordered by a client. This Bleu Royal Chiron’s cabin is decked in a two-color combination of “French Racing Blue” and “Deep Blue” finishes.

Did you know that an estimated timeframe of 6 months is required to complete the production of the Veryon’s successor? This involves about 20 employees and over 1,800 separate parts that needs to be assembled at Bugatti’s Molsheim factory in France. In any case, we think that’s a good thing especially for having been known to build the finest hypercar in the world today.

Bugatti plans to come out with only 500 Chiron units for production. Of the five hundred, 250 have already been ordered in advance. The first customers have actually taken deliveries of the Chirons in the last couple of weeks. And by the end of the month, Bugatti will also be conducting a test drive program for their prospective clients.

Geneva International Motor Show 2017: Bugatti honoured for best stand design

At this year’s Geneva International Motor Show, Bugatti has received an award for its stand design. In the opinion of a jury consisting of communications and publicity specialists of the Club de publicité et de communication de Genève (CPG), the French super sports car manufacturer had the best stand at the show. The jury found the efficient design in a small exhibition area, the quality of workmanship and the details of the stand especially convincing. For this achievement, Bugatti received the 14th creativity Award of the CPG. The sole star of the stand was the 1,500 PS Chiron1, with which Bugatti is continuing its success story. 250 of these vehicles, which are being produced in a limited series of 500 units, have already been ordered. Two weeks ago, the first vehicles were delivered to customers.

The jury was impressed by the intelligent way in which Bugatti’s presentation succeeded in standing out from the other exhibitors despite its comparatively small area and free positioning in the hall. Especially the curved roof was found to be convincing. The curves were arranged around a light shaft which illuminated the sole model on the stand, the Bugatti Chiron, with a bright beam. The curved structure surrounding the customer area and the quality of workmanship were other key criteria for the award.

The Geneva International Motor Show 2017 ends today.
