The first premium sports utility vehicle from Citroen’s luxury sub-brand is creating waves at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show. With the new DS 7 Crossback SUV, the new DS sub-brand is showing off to the world that the French carmaker can bring out its luxurious and premium side.
Customers of the new DS 7 Crossback could choose from one hybrid powertrain and Euro 6.2-compliant five conventional engines -- three petrol and two diesel. The new DS 7 Crossback with the E-TENSE plug-in hybrid petrol drivetrain features a 200hp petrol engine, two electric motors each having an output of 80 kW (109 hp) and a 90-kW lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 13kW/h.
Available petrol engines include a THP 225 engine with Stop&Start (S&S) paired to an eight-speed Efficient Automatic Transmission (EAT8); THP 180 with S&S paired to EAT8; and PureTech 130 S&S mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. Available diesel powerplants include a BlueHDi 130 S&S mated to either a six-speed manual gearbox or EAT8; and the BlueHDi 180 paired to EAT8.
