After Porsche launched the Panamera luxurious sporty sedan in 2009, the German sports car maker received numerous requests to follow it up with a wagon version. When 2012 came, many rejoiced when Porsche unveiled the Panamera Sport Turismo Concept at that year’s Paris Auto Show. Until recently, Porsche had not released any official information about the wagon production version of its sporty sedan.
But today, we get an official preview of the wagon version of the Porsche Panamera. The thing is, Porsche doesn’t want to call it a wagon (even if it does fit the description). The global debut of the 2018 Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo (not a concept anymore) is scheduled to happen in a few days at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show.
It will be displayed and subsequently be available in five flavors: Panamera 4 Sport Turismo, Panamera 4S Sport Turismo, Panamera 4S Diesel Sport Turismo, Panamera 4 E-Hybrid Sport Turismo and Panamera Turbo Sport Turismo. All of these will be available for the 2018 model year.
Engine choices for the new Panamera Sport Turismo are the same as the engines available in the five versions of the Panamera sedan.
