Alfa Romeo 4C Launch Edition introduced at 2013 Geneva Motor Show

As you may know already, the Alfa Romeo 4C made its global debut at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show and made quite a buzz. In order to mark this event, Alfa Romeo announced the 4C Launch Edition, a special edition of the car that will be produced in 400 units in Europe, Africa and the Middle East, 500 units in North America and 100 in the rest of the world. Priced at 60,000 euros including VAT (net of other local taxes).

What’s so special about this new edition? Well, for 60k euros, buyers will be able to choose between two colours: Carrara White or Alfa Red. Each unit will get a distinctive badge, inlaid beneath the paintwork.

Moreover, the vehicle features a special carbon aerodynamic kit which includes spoiler and door mirror covers, a rear aluminum diffuser with dark finish, Bi-LED headlights with dark surround and 18” (front) and 19” (rear) alloy wheels with burnishing treatment.

To accentuate the sports look still further, there are front air intakes, brake calipers in a specific colour, racing exhaust system with BMC air cleaner and suspension kit with specific calibration for shock absorbers and rear anti-roll bar. Inside, the sporty theme is continued and the 4C Launch Edition offers leather/fabric sports seats with parts in Alcantara, as well as the distinctive, numbered carbon badge.

If the car is available in Alfa Red, the interior features red stitching on the steering wheel trim, handbrake, mats, handles and sports seats. The engine remains the same 1.75-liter tubocharged petrol engine delivering 240 hp, which offers a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.5 seconds and a top speed of 250 km/h or 155 mph. The engine is bolted to the Alfa TCT twin clutch transmission with shift paddles at steering wheel and new Alfa DNA selector with additional 'Race' mode.

Once again, the Alfa Romeo Centro Stile has outdone itself. With the release of the limited edition Alfa Romeo 4C (only 400 units will be produced in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East), the Alfa Romeo Centro Stile has managed to make an already special car more premium and simply out of the ordinary.

The 4C was designed to be a superior car with enhanced and unparalleled performance. At just 4 metres long, 200 cm wide, 118 cm high, the 4C remains at its core a compact car with the agility and the power of a supercar. This was achieved by the great care and meticulous attention to details devoted in its design, development, and upgrade, resulting in a Alfa Romeo 4C that is aerodynamic to the point that it has enhanced power and capability compared to previous models.

Engineers and designers collaborated in making the Alfa Romeo 4C both a work of innovative technology and an epic artistic handiwork. True to the constant desire of Alfa Romeo to always highlight both form and function in its cars, the 4C is characterized by a quintessential beauty displayed in the fine, carefully sculpted surfaces of the Alfa Romeo 4C and this perfectly blends with its power that is palpable in its maximum grip in acceleration on corners and its over-all maximum efficiency .
