A new report indicates that the new Ferrari 458 Italia Facelift will arrive next year at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, powered by a twin-turbo V8. Dubbed 142M, there M comes from modified, the new 458 Italia Facelift is expected to arrive with the new twin-turbo V8 engine found on the California T, replacing the naturally-aspirated 4.5-liter V8 that powers the current model.

According to Autocar, the engine is expected to deliver as much as 666 hp, making it more powerful than its main rival, the McLaren 650S. Power will be delivered to the rear wheels via the seven-speed Getrag ‘7DL750’ dual-clutch automatic transmission.

When it comes to design, this will be evolutionary and will arrive with new air intakes since the new engine will need them.

For those who still don’t know, the 4.5-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine found on the current generation delivers 570 hp and 540 Nm of torque, while the 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 found on the California T produces 552 hp.

The engine is able to push the California T from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.6 seconds, but the new 458 Italia Facelift will be much faster and we expect an acceleration time from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.4 seconds, with a top speed in excess of 325 km/h or 202 mph.
