Emerson Fittipaldi is realizing his dream supercar with the help of two well-known names in engineering and design. According to the press statement, the Indianapolis 500 winner has applied his knowledge of the tracks in building a “new experience” that will further advance the driving ability of super car enthusiasts around the world.
Built in collaboration with HWA AG and Pininfarina, the two-time F1 World Champ’s EF7 Vision is scheduled to make its debut this coming March. To add more fuel to the excitement, fans of Sony PlayStation’s Gran Turismo game franchise can also look forward to driving Fittipaladi’s EF7 in the virtual world. Well, okay. But that’s another story to tell.
Interestingly, a teaser photo of the Fittipaldi EF7 Vision by Pininfarina was presented ahead of the upcoming 2017 Geneva International Motor Show. We couldn’t help but notice how the supercar bears similarities with the Aston Martin Vulcan at first glance. Take note of the carbon rear fascia in black, the so-in-there carbon fibre wing as well as the telltale signs of a fastback coupe.
During the launch, Fittipaldi Motors will be using Pininfarina’s exhibit stand to showcase the vehicle. Pininfarina, otherwise known as Carozzeria Pininfarina, is a coachbuilder and car design company based in Cambiano, Italy. Over the years, the design house caters to Maserati, Lancia, General Motors, FIAT, Peugeot, Alfa Romeo and Ferrari.
HWA AG meanwhile specializes in customizing Mercedes Benz vehicles and has established itself as a spin-off from the AMG. Aside from its DTM racing team, the engineering group has serviced, manufactured and developed racing engines for the British Formula 3 Series and also for the Formula 3 European Championship.
Let’s consider these big names once again for a moment. Emerson Fittipaldi. HWA AG. Pininfarina. For sure, other participants in next month’s Geneva Motor Show will not stand a chance with such a powerhouse trio. That being said, Fittipaldi Motors should put its EV7 Vision next to Vanda Electric’s Dendrobium hypercar or even beside Italdesign’s supercar collection. What do you think about that?
Anyway, we’re quite sure that more details will come out in the next several days. As we wait for these events to unfold, keep your eyes wide open on all social media platforms and websites available.
