We were already told that the Aria Group will be introducing a new performance car at the 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show. But the only thing we know so far is that it goes under the name of FXE, and that it will have quite an aggressive design. Other than that, the company has not shared any information about the vehicle yet. However, a few days ago, they released a teaser that surely piqued the interest of car enthusiasts everywhere.
When looking at the image Aria teased us with, you could see that the vehicles has broad rear fenders with narrow LED tail lights. It also looks like a very low car, with a low roof, while the back part of the center has been made higher due to the air scoop. There are also two outlets on both sides, which act as the car’s exhaust. This also points toward a mid-engined layout.
In fact, we think that the FXE’s teaser sort of makes it resemble the Aria Group’s former Fast Eddy concept. The vehicle is a Corvette-inspired coupe that came equipped with a 6.2 liter supercharged V8 that was able to carry out 650 horsepower. As for performance, it was said to have done the 60 miles per hour sprint in as low as 2.6 seconds, and that it had an impressive top speed of 210 miles per hour.
If in case you do not recognize the brand Aria Group, just know that it is a California based company that specializes in doing design, engineering and manufacturing contract work for aerospace and transportation firms. So they are not really known as an automaker. However, they have partnered with a number of car manufacturers, which is the reason behind their expansive and impressive portfolio, especially when it comes to concept designing. For instance, some of the vehicles in their portfolio include the Kia GT4 Stinger, the Mazda Furai, and Ford GR-1.
To make that even sound better, Aria Group also supplied for Singer Vehicle Design’s Porsche 911 restorations. They were the ones who supplied the tuner with carbon fiber bodies that ensured that the models were light in weight, while still looking luxurious at the same time.
That’s not all that Aria has done, as they also worked on a modified Rolls Royce called the Wraith Regatta. This particular model has an ultra-luxurious design with its hood, roof, and tail covered by mahogany wood planks. In the cabin, one could find even more lumber such as the door panels and the dashboard. This was then complemented by the nautical-themed brass trimmed interior.
Again, Aria Group’s latest FXE will make its debut at the 2017 LA Auto Show by the end of this month.
