As we said it here, the all-new 2016 Shelby Mustang GT350 made its debut today and will be seen at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show. Looking better than expected, the 2016 Shelby Mustang GT350 is powered by a 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine that produces more than 500 hp (373 kW) and 400 lb-ft (542 Nm) of torque.
The engine is bolted to a six-speed manual transmission and the vehicle comes as standard with a Ford-tuned Torsen limited-slip differential that optimizes cornering grip and straight-line traction. When it comes to design, the Mustang GT350 arrives with an aggressive lower front splitter, a new aluminum hood with air outlets that act as a heat extractor, recontoured aluminum front fenders that accommodate wider front tracks and wider wheel arches.
In addition, the front fenders get stylish vents tht work with vented inner fenders in order to draw out air in the wheel wells and direct it down the side of the vehicle. At the rear, the new GT350 gets a new air diffuser, a stylish trunk lip spoiler as well as four exhaust tips.
The design is completed by the new 19-inch aluminum wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires with GT350-specific sidewall construction. Inside, the GT350 gets Recaro sport seats, a flat-bottomed steering wheel, while chrome and bright finishes were reduced in order to eliminate sun glare that may distract the driver.
Ford says that its new vehicle allows selection of five unique modes that tailor ABS, stability control, traction control, steering effort, throttle mapping, MagneRide tuning and exhaust settings.
