Rolls-Royce Motor Cars is introducing the limited edition Cocktail Hamper, designed for customers who want to relax with a wide selection of classic and contemporary cocktails. To come up with this limited edition Hamper, Rolls-Royce Accessories Designer Sina Maria Eggl collaborated and consulted with people Dorchester Collection’s London Hotels, The Dorchester and 45 Park Lane.
Featuring a selection of handcrafted glasses and supplies for concocting cocktails, the Cocktail Hamper is painstakingly handcrafted in eight weeks from American Walnut Wood and Natural Grain Leather – materials that are seen in the cabin of some Rolls-Royce vehicles.
Once customers open the hamper's Navy Blue leather-bound lid, they will be greeted by an automatic integrated light that is reflected from the mirrored surfaces, thereby evoking the visual appeal of a real cocktail bar. This Cocktail Hamper comes with all accoutrement needed to concoct, serve and enjoy the perfect cocktail.
Each of these bespoke and luxurious accessories is beautifully crafted by hand and is designed to allow supreme ease of use. For instance, the limited edition Cocktail Hamper comes with a paring knife magnetically stored in a carved recess.
This placement allows the knife to be stored and transported safely and without disturbance. During its design and crafting, each possible application has been considered. For instance, creating canapés for guests won't present a problem as two dishes are placed in the lower portion of the Hamper on either side of an ice bucket.
Moreover, the Cocktail Hamper features discreet drawers containing hold recipe cards and cotton napkins. Meanwhile, the upper portion of the Hamper – wrapped with Golden Sand colored leather and offset with polished aluminum -- contains decanters tumblers, and a shaker.
This limited edition Cocktail Hamper features smaller utensils, including a muddler in American Walnut and a strainer with the ‘RR’ monogram. These utensils are stored on a moveable rack that can be locked when unused. The rack can be moved using a hinge, thereby ensuring effortless access when the utensils are needed. Moreover, the limited edition Cocktail Hamper features glassware sourced from Theresienthal, which is considered as the most revered glassmaker in Europe.
In fact, Theresienthal supplies glassware to a number of Royal Courts across Europe. These Theresienthal glasses take around a month to create, since the glassmaker employs a time-honored technique that entails blowing the glass into beech wood molds for an exceptionally smooth surface.
Moreover, Theresienthal still employs highly skilled craftspeople at every stage of the production process, thereby making sure that no two glasses are the same. The rims of these glasses are finished in platinum, a testament to the delicacy and exclusivity of these wares.
Additionally, the limited edition Cocktail Hamper features a glass tray that is subtly placed beneath the integrated wooden chopping board as well as a book containing cocktail recipes inspired by the Rolls-Royce's heritage. Rolls-Royce is only set to build just 15 examples of the Cocktail Hampers, which means that each of them guarantees exclusivity. After all, an owner of one of these hampers knows that only 14 other units exist.
Gavin Hartley, Head of Bespoke Design at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, remarked that each vehicle created by the carmaker represents a personal expression of a customer's tastes and lifestyles. This personalization, however, is not only limited to Rolls-Royce vehicles, but also extends through an Accessories Collection, which features bespoke yet exclusive objects that should augment the lifestyles of its customer.
He described the Cocktail Hamper as an illustration of Rolls-Royce's intimate understanding of the desires of the marque's customers. To acquire one of these limited edition Cocktail Hampers, interested buyers could contact any of the Rolls-Royce 130 dealerships across the globe.
