SHARK Helmets will be showcasing its new 2014 collection at Motorcycle Live, at The NEC, Birmingham from November 23 to December 1, 2013. SHARK’s 2014 collection features three brand new helmets -- Explore-R, Vantime, and Heritage -- and a wider range of colors for current models. The Explore-R helmet offers both full-face and off-road helmet functionalities.

The new SHARK The Explore-R helmet features a removable visor, peak and goggles and it can be modified according to the wearer’s preference. Once the visor is fitted, the Explore-R helmet provides the same panoramic visor as the Vision-R helmet. The Explore-R boasts of having SHARK’s new ‘carbon skin’ technology that combines carbon and aramid.

Helmets from the carbon skin range feature a ‘second skin’ that provides extra protection for higher performance and improved shock absorption. The lining is made from natural bamboo fiber that is not only hypoallergenic and antibacterial but also provides good perspiration absorption. Riders could avail of the SHARK Explore-R helment through dealers starting January 2014 at a price of £319.99.

The SHARK Vantime, meanwhile, is SHARK’s first full-face urban helmet for riders seeking protection and urban styling. It boasts of a VZ140 ‘long trip’ visor with air inlets that allow greater surface demisting. The lining is also made of natural bamboo fiber for comfort and hygiene.

The new SHARK Vantime, which features an internal sunvisor and a pocket for SHARKTooth, could be availed starting January 2014 with a starting price £169.99. The Heritage, meanwhile, is the cafe racer-inspired open-face helmet made from the latest generation composite fiber. It also features natural bamboo fiber interior and SHARK’s ‘easy fit’ system for glasses wearers. The Heritage will be available starting December 2013 with a starting price of £199.99.

Headquartered in Marseilles, France, SHARK is a company that produces motorcycle helmets. Founded in the same city in 1986 by two brothers from the South of France as well as former professional racers who wanted to create one of the world’s safest helmet brand, the SHARK brand has its helmets distributed by a network of thousands of sales outlets around the world. All SHARK helmets are designed in France at the company’s headquarters.
