Giannini 350 GP4 is an all-wheel drive Fiat 500 on steroids

Great things could really come in small packages. This was proven earlier this year by Giannini 350 GP, which was basically a rear-wheel drive Fiat 500 on steroids, both in looks and power. Now, Giannini, in collaboration with GRAM (Gram Torino Engineering), is rolling out a version of the Giannini 350 GP that features an all-wheel drive system – the Giannini 350 GP4.

As its name indicates, the Giannini 350 GP4 has the power sent from its engine to all four wheels. This capability is well-indicated on red “4x4” graphics on its sides. Giannini hasn’t disclosed the identity of the mill powering the 350 GP4, but as its moniker tells us, this engine is tuned to deliver 350 hp. It remains unknown whether this is the same engine that also lurks inside the rear-wheel driven 350 GP. The 350 GP is powered by the same 1.75-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that powers the Alfa Romeo 4C. This 350-hp (261 kW) powerplant is fitted on the rear – just behind the front seats -- of the 350 GP, resulting to its rear seats being removed from the tuned Fiat 500.

While the engine the of the 350 GP was installed behind the front seats, that of the 350 GP4 has been fitted underneath the front bonnet – just like that on a regular Fiat 500. This means that the space behind the rear seats has been freed up, allowing Giannini and GRAM to reinstall the rear seats. This means that the 350 GP4 could accommodate more people inside its cabin.

In terms of styling, the 350 GP4 pretty much looks like the 350 GP, except for some visual differences on the exterior. Its front and rear fenders aren’t just muscular but also feature a number of airs vent (five vents on each fender). Up front, the 350 GP4 features large spotlights as well as a massive lower intake, just like that of the 350 GP.

There are also a number of differences between the rear-wheel drive 350 GP and the all-wheel drive 350 GP4. For example, the front bonnet of 350 GP4 features more air intakes than the hood of the 350 GP. Furthermore, the 350 GP4 comes with a number of parts made of carbon fiber, which means we could expect it to be lighter than the 350 GP. For instance, the 350 GP comes with a carbon fiber splitter and an add-on piece on the lower part of the vented rear fenders. The side mirror caps also make use of carbon fiber. Moreover, the 350 GP4 comes with Plexiglas windows. Other differences include a massive rear diffuser with red vertical fins as well as two exhaust tips.
