Aston Martin has unveiled the 2015 Aston Martin DB9 Carbon Edition at the New York Auto Show. The DB9 Carbon Edition is primary available in Carbon Black and Carbon White specifications, but customers could opt to bestow their units with one of the available colors in Aston Martin. The Carbon Black specification features a strong dark theme underpinned by a distinct mix of lightweight carbon fiber attributes.
On the other hand, the Carbon White special edition features dark elements that perfectly contrast against the Stratus White paint and accented caliper color. Both the Carbon Black and Carbon White editions don carbon fiber side strakes, rear lamp in-fills and black meshes and window surrounds.
A customer could further accentuate the carbon theme with optional carbon fiber front splitter, rear diffuser and mirror cap/arm features. Aston Martin DB9 Carbon Edition boasts of standard exterior equipment like 10-spoke diamond-turned alloy wheels (silver or satin black finishes) and brake calipers (red, yellow, grey or black).
The cabin of the Aston Martin DB9 Carbon Edition dons a black styling theme with a choice of accent colors matching the caliper shade. The edition’s exclusivity is marked by bespoke sill plaques with the Carbon logo. While the special edition does carry some styling changes, its grand touring capabilities, qualities as a DB9 renders it a one of the most admired and desired GT.
The DB9 is powered by the 6.0-liter AM11 V12 engine the employs 'Gen4' VH architecture and hardware. It could provide up to 510 bhp of power and up to 457 lb ft of torque, allowing it to reach a top speed of 183mph. Aston Martin will start deliveries of the DB9 Carbon Edition to North American customers in the third quarter of 2014 for a starting price of $199,995 RRP.
