Back in March, we revealed you the new global version of the Chevrolet Cruze that will make its debut next week at the 2014 Beijing Auto Show. Today we will show you the 2015 Chevrolet Cruze developed for the United States market that will be officially introduced next week at the 2014 New York International Auto Show.
We will not lie, we do like the global version much more but let’s be optimistic about the US version too. As you can see from the photos, the 2015 Cruze US-spec comes with a refreshed front end and features a new front grille similar to the one found on the bigger 2014 Malibu and Impala. Moreover, the LT and LTZ trims get LED daytime running lamps and several new exterior colors.
Inside, the 2015 Cruze gets revised cupholders, a trunk release button relocated to the center console and door lock switches relocated from the center console to the front doors. Furthermore, the 2015 Cruze is also more powerful than the outgoing version as it delivers 151 hp and a maximum torque of 264 lb-ft. 2015 Cruze Diesel has a driving range of 717 miles per tank.
The biggest change found on the 2015 Chevrolet Cruze is actually found in the infotainment system as this includes a new text Message Alerts feature for smartphone users with Bluetooth profile (M.A.P.) and Siri Eyes Free for iPhone iOS 6 and iOS 7 users.
Other features found at the interior are the seven-inch-diagonal color touch screen and additional USB ports, OnStar 4G LTE with built-in Wi-Fi hotspot, next-generation OnStar and MyLink enhancements, Chevrolet AppShop (later availability) and navigation.
Chevrolet AppShop will allow its owners to view and download apps directly to the vehicle. These can be organized, updated or deleted and can connect drivers to vehicle data, music, news, weather and more.
When Ford unveiled the new F-150, it marked a reinvention of what can be called as America’s favorite truck. By being the most capable, smartest, and toughest F-150 there is, it manages to set new standards when it comes to the future of trucks. This new model offers an exceptional mix of capability, efficiency, and power. The use of cutting-edge materials for example helps inhibit corrosion while enhancing the durability.
Then there is the use of faster processors in order to improve the driving performance. Further, the new F-150 reveals advances in towing solutions and cargo management.
Ford Motor Company Chief Operating Officer Mark Fields said that the F-150 has a reputation for being Built Ford Tough, meaning it is both smart and tough. Not only does this new model redefine the future as it relates to trucks, he added, but it also another example of the brand’s very own One Ford plan. He continued by saying that under this strategy, the brand manufactures vehicles for customers with a promise of smart design, fuel efficiency, the best quality, safety, and most of all, value.
Meanwhile, Ford Executive Vice-President and President of The Americas Joe Hinrichs revealed that the brand has long had a connection with its customers. Ever since, he added, the F-150 has managed to give customers smarter and tougher features aside from the capabilities needed for work or even for play.
Hinrichs said further that the brand continues to make trucks that meet the highest of standards. The Ford F-Series truck range, which includes the F-150, has been the best-selling truck in America for 37 straight years and the best-selling vehicle for 32 years.
