Back in March, we revealed you the new global version of the Chevrolet Cruze that will make its debut next week at the 2014 Beijing Auto Show. Today we will show you the 2015 Chevrolet Cruze developed for the United States market that will be officially introduced next week at the 2014 New York International Auto Show.
We will not lie, we do like the global version much more but let’s be optimistic about the US version too. As you can see from the photos, the 2015 Cruze US-spec comes with a refreshed front end and features a new front grille similar to the one found on the bigger 2014 Malibu and Impala. Moreover, the LT and LTZ trims get LED daytime running lamps and several new exterior colors.
Inside, the 2015 Cruze gets revised cupholders, a trunk release button relocated to the center console and door lock switches relocated from the center console to the front doors. Furthermore, the 2015 Cruze is also more powerful than the outgoing version as it delivers 151 hp and a maximum torque of 264 lb-ft. 2015 Cruze Diesel has a driving range of 717 miles per tank.
The biggest change found on the 2015 Chevrolet Cruze is actually found in the infotainment system as this includes a new text Message Alerts feature for smartphone users with Bluetooth profile (M.A.P.) and Siri Eyes Free for iPhone iOS 6 and iOS 7 users.
Other features found at the interior are the seven-inch-diagonal color touch screen and additional USB ports, OnStar 4G LTE with built-in Wi-Fi hotspot, next-generation OnStar and MyLink enhancements, Chevrolet AppShop (later availability) and navigation.
Chevrolet AppShop will allow its owners to view and download apps directly to the vehicle. These can be organized, updated or deleted and can connect drivers to vehicle data, music, news, weather and more.
