Honda introduced at the 2014 New York International Auto Show its new compact crossover, the 2015 HR-V. As you can see from the images, this is the US version of the Vezel, which was introduced last year in Japan. Using the same compact platform as the 2015 Fit, the Honda HR-V promises to feature a versatile and spacious interior thanks to the unique tank layout.
Moreover, the 2015 Honda HR-V will use the exclusive Magic Seat, a feature that allows for multiple seating configurations and the ability to fold the second row seat completely flat for added cargo space.
Under the hood, we expect to see the same 1.5-liter direct injection four-cylinder engine used by the Vezel, bolted as standard to a manual transmission and to a CVT as an option.
There are rumors that it will also receive a turbocharged version, but there is nothing official for the moment. It’s not a surprise that Honda HR-V will be slotted below the CR-V in both price and size. Honda promised more details about its latest vehicle added in the United States, but they will reveal it later this year.
