GMC revealed today its 2017 GMC Terrain Nightfall Edition. This special edition shows more style with its black-out details on the exterior and the wheels. It even has the latest technologies like the IntelliLink that comes with a Wi-Fi hotspot and 4G LTE connectivity.
This announcement from GMC comes just ahead of its official debut at the 2016 New York International Auto Show. The 2017 Terrain Nightfall Edition will now be part of GMC’s lineup that includes the Sierra All Terrain X and Canyon Nightfall Edition to offer the refinement and premium features of the Terrain with a customized and exclusive appearance.
In particular, the 2017 Terrain Nightfall has a more edgy look with its charcoal grill with the gloss back highlight and surround, the black luggage rails, gloss black outside mirrors, gloss front and back fascia highlights, the gloss black rear license plate surround trim, and the aluminum machine-faced 18-inch wheels and gloss black spokes.
It will be offered in two models, the SLT and SLE-2, and is offered with a choice of four colors for its exterior which are Crimson Red Metallic, Graphite Gray Metallic, Onyx Black, and Summit White. The 2017 Terrain Nightfall will go on sale starting in the fall of 2016.
Vice-president of GMC Sales and Marketing Duncan Aldred said that by building on its best year, the Terrain has managed to attract new customers, most of who are style-conscious, to the company. The 2017 Terrain Nightfall Edition, he continued, adds another unit to the company’s already popular SUV segment and it is one that is sure to stand out from the crowd.
Though restyled, the 2016 Terrain remains to be an efficient crossover that has premiums, technologies that enable passengers to be connected at all times, and has room for five. For the FWD models, it comes with the standard 2.4-liter engine with an EPA-estimated rating of 32 mpg highway.
Standard on both SLT and SLE-2 trims of the Terrain is the GMC IntelliLink along with 7-inch-diagonal color touchscreen, the Wi-Fi hotspot, and the 4G LTE connectivity. Its GM MultiFlex seats in the rear can be moved to the front or the back by about 8 inches or around 200 mm.
This increases both cargo room and passenger comfort .Once the rear seats have been folded, it can offer up to 63.9 cubic feet or an estimated 1,810 liters. The company is also offering a power liftgate that is not only programmable but even has a memory-stop function.
Safety features include six standard air bags and a standard rear-vision camera. Available active safety features include Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Side Blind Zone Alert, Forward Collision Alert, Lane Departure Warning and Rear Park Assist.
Safety features in the 2017 GMC Terrain Nightfall include the standard reversion rear-vision camera and the six air bags. Other safety features now made available at the Side Blind Zone Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Departure Warning, Rear Park Assist, and Forward collision alert.
