Forte Koup also boasts swept headlights that deeply stretch into the front fenders. Meanwhile, its broad shoulders and raked windshield lend a sleek and sporty appearance to its front end. It also has LED positioning lights that give its front fascia a more premium look. At the car’s rear are LED tail lights, which complete its exterior’s high-end feel. And helping the Forte Koup maintain its sporty demeanor is a rear valance that boast twin chrome exhaust tips.
Moreover, the Kia Forte Koup’s interior showcases soft touch points and premium materials. And nestled deeply into the car’s instrument cluster are large, white-on-black gauges that are easy to read. There are also chrome accents surrounding the HVAC controls and the optional push-button start, as well as carbon fiber-like textures, both on the seats and the dash. Additionally, the car features a leather-wrapped shift knob and steering wheel, both of which are further evidence of the vehicle’s performance intentions. Front heated seats, driver-selectable electric steering, and air-cooled driver's seat set the car farther apart from its 2-door competition.
According to Michael Sprague, Executive VP for Marketing & Communications at KMA, the Kia Forte Koup is probably the sportiest vehicle in their award-winning lineup and has helped significantly raise Kia's brand awareness among automotive enthusiasts. He said that the car’s rakish design, powerful turbocharged engine, and premium amenities set it apart from its rivals.
