BMW has finally unveiled the 2015 2-Series Convertible (F23) and announced that it will bring the new vehicle at the 2014 Paris Motor Show. As expected, this model replaces the 1-Series Convertible and the design is not new as it was already seen on the 2-Series Coupe. The newly developed fabric top opens and closes in 20 seconds and can be operated at speeds of up to 50 km/h (30 mph).
Moreover, it is available as standard in black but as an option you can get it in Anthracite with silver effect and Brown with silver effect. Compared with the 1-Series Convertible, the 2-Series Convertible has a length of 4,432 mm (+72 mm), a width of 1,774 mm (+26 mm), while the wheelbase increased by 30 mm to 2,690 mm.
Due to the new dimensions, the luggage compartment increased by 30 litres to 335 litres with the top closed or by 20 litres to 280 litres with the top open.
The interior shows the signature BMW Convertible ‘boat deck’, a driver-focused cockpit and high-quality materials. According to the official press release, the 2015 BMW 2-Series Convertible will be available in four variants: Advantage, Luxury Line, Sport Line and M Sport.
