The Adam S Concept was unveiled earlier this year at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show but today, Opel officially revealed the production version of the small pocket rocket. Opel’s new Adam S is powered by a 1.4-liter Turbo Ecotec engine that produces 150 hp (110 kW) and 220 Nm of torque. As a result, it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 8.5 seconds while top speed is over 200 km/h or 124 mph.
Despite these performances, fuel consumption is just 6.4 l/100 km. In addition, the vehicle arrives with a tuned chassis, large OPC S brakes, as well as 18-inch wheels and red brake calipers. 17-inch wheels are available too.
The new design includes a front lip spoiler, side sills, a new rear roof spoiler, as well as a rear air diffuser with integrated exhaust tailpipe. Opel says that its Adam S will be available with a choice of 10 exterior colours and four roof combinations available with the “Red ‘n’ Roll” roof design reserved exclusively for this model.
If you want even more, the vehicle can feature additional ‘S’ graphics. The sporty theme is continued at the interior where we can find Recaro Performance seats, floor mats wearing the grey-black-red Adam S design, optional checkered flag headliner design and an optional leather package that offers black and red steering wheel, gear knob and handbrake lever wrapped in leather. IntelliLink system offers connectivity and apps for the latest smartphones using Android and iOS.
