Audi has debuted the Audi RS3 Sedan at the 2016 Paris Motor Show. Its most dynamic A3 model ever, the Audi RS3 has a 400 horsepower engine, top-notch efficiency and a more focused look. This is also the first compact sedan to take on the RS name.
The five-cylinder 2.5 TFSI gives you 294 kW or 400 hp of power. That is effectively 33 hp more powerful than the previous model’s engine, and is now the most potent five-cylinder available globally.
It delivers 480 Nm of torque at speeds of up to 5,850 rpm. The Audi RS3 goes from standstill to 100 km/h in only 4.1 seconds and can rev up to 250 km/h. If you want to, the carmaker can attain top speeds of 280 km/h.
Drivers can enjoy the one-of-a-kind sound of the engine, which adds to the fun and engaging driving experience. You can also modify this sound using Audi drive select.
The crankcase is made of light alloy, helping keep the engine's weight down to 26 kilograms. At this weight, it is lighter than the previous engine. The engine also uses dual injection into both the combustion chambers and the intake manifold. It also uses the valvelift system from Audi. All of these help the engine's performance and fuel efficiency.
