New Dacia Logan will be displayed together with the new Dacia Sandero at the upcoming Paris Motor Show. During the past 10 years under Renault ownership, Dacia experienced rapid growth that was initiated by the Logan, a four-door notchback. The brand will be launched in the UK in January 2013 but this model won’t be available in the country.
The first Dacia models for its UK lineup are the Sandero and Duster. The new Logan has a front-end styling that’s similar to that of the Sandero. It takes its inspiration from the bigger Duster. Dacia has made an attempt to emphasize the robustness of the Logan by giving it a sculpted waistline and bolder wheel arches.
As a result, it appears thicker and it also has more character. The new Sandero has an interior that’s nearly the same as the new Logan. Its quality and design are now also better. The Logan is built on nearly the same B0 platform as what the other models I the Dacia range use. The complete details about its engine range will be confirmed at the Paris Motor Show.
The New Dacias Sandero, Sandero Stepway and Logan debut an improved maximum passenger protection courtesy of Renault’s Engineers. The seatbelts are outfitted with calibrated load limiter for better protection of the upper body in case of strong impact. Three Isofix anchorage points are also featured in the two lateral seats at the back for 100% easy and safe child seat installation. Each of the trim levels is also fitted as standard with airbags and ESC in the front and side of the driver and passenger seats.
Wide range of accessories
These versions of Dacia propose a wide range of accessories for extra customization of side moldings, headrest hangers, floor mats as well as boot nets. The roof box, towing hook, ski rack, portable cool box and a bike rack make holidays and weekend getaways trouble-free. Units can also be customized with the use of fog light surrounds, exclusive wheel rims and decal strips.
The exterior as well as the interior dimensions of the new models justifies Dacia’s place in the segment. To give enough room for a seat of three adults or make way for three child seats, the read elbow room of the new Sandero is increased to 1436 mm.
New Logan’s boot volume which is as high as 510 dm3 VDA and 320 dm3 for Sandero stays unbeatable, provided the price and compact exterior measurements of the vehicle. The 60/40 split-folding bench at the rear upholds practicality and versatility as well. The cabin has also been enhanced to give passengers more space for storage with a notable addition of cubby box in the center.
The storage spaces within the front and back doors are made large enough for a 1.5-litre and 0.5-litre bottle respectively.
